Dry skin is not cool!

Hey-O, It's your Friday girl Beckie!

I'll admit it...(because we're friends) I've been known to spend a few hours in the sun... maybe too many hours, but I feel more confident with a little color on my skin. Of course my skin has a different opinion and I'm sure in a few years it will definitely let me know.

Last weekend, my family and I made a trip out to the Colorado River for a few days. The average temperature for the weekend was about 100 with a slight breeze. For this So Cal girl, it was PERFECT! But being in the desert dry air, the water and the sun my skin really felt dried out, especially my feet-EWW! Now my first reaction was to pull out the heavy body cream and that's what I did and was disappointed that I had. I didn't take into consideration the heat. The heavy lotion became sticky and gross on my skin. Unfortunately that's all I packed

So when I got home I tried something else; a lotion specifically formulated for after sun exposure by Hampton Sun. In my mind I was thinking, this is just a regular lotion that someone has marketed as "after sun" lotion. But when I applied it to my overly dehydrated skin, it had such a nice, luxurious feeling. The dry lines in my skin instantly were gone and my skin didn't feel like it was greasy or oily at all. Even the smell is light and refreshing. I have to say that this lotion is terrific and would recommend it to everyone!

Did you know...
The hottest day ever recorded in the United States was on July 10, 1913 at Death Valley, California, when the temperature reached a scorching 135 degrees.

Until next week...

  1. I hope you were 10 when you wrote this. Your structure and grammar is awful.
