Fashion or Comfort....what to choose

Hi Everyone, it's Beckie! Hope all of you had a productive week and are ready for a "put your feet up" relaxing kind of weekend. I know I am.

For centuries, women have been abusing their feet for the sake of fashion. In the 15th century, chopines, a type of platform shoe, were created in Turkey. These shoes would range anywhere from 7-30" tall, forcing women to walk with canes to keep their balance. Seriously? 30" tall? The height of the shoe was often reflected as a status symbol. Maybe Lady Gaga is on to something.

Having been in sales for over 9 years, I have worn my share of high heels. I love how they make my legs look but over the years my feet have decided to have an opinion on what I wear. Let me tell you, they are not to fond of the 4" heels that I just bought. So I find myself offering compromises with my poor feet in the morning. I tell them, "Get me through the day and I'll give you a massage tonight" and usually they are pretty forgiving.

It seems everyone these days has some sort of body cream, foot cream, claiming to be the answer to your prayers. One of my favorites, hands down, is from Hellomellow.
