All That Glitters is Just Fun!
Happy Spooky Friday and as you know I'm Beckie.
I have to say that this has been one of my favorite weeks. Generally I'm not a girly girl when it comes to make up and getting dolled up. If I had my wish, I'd have perfect skin with an illuminous glow, I guess that will happen in my next life. But there is something that comes alive in me around Halloween. I LOVE to get dressed up and transform myself into someone or something else.
Now when it comes to color cosmetics, I will literally try anything. High end, drug store, it doesn't matter. If it glitters or shines, I'll try it. One of my favorite counters to visit is Urban Decay. Let me tell you these ladies have a great display that just lures you in and makes make up fun. What I like more than anything is their versatility of their products. Take for instance, their eye liner pencils. You can use them for eyeliners or as a heavy shadow. Their liquid eyeliners are fun to make designs around the eyes, like swirls or dots. Better yet, their liquid eye liners are waterproof! So bring on the mermaids! I've even used the liquid eye liners as accents over my shadows. Urban Decay also offers glitter eyeliner for added effects. My problem is where do I stop? I just keep adding to my collection.
For those that love to glitter it up, try Too Faced Kitty Glitter. This is a loose glitter that comes with teeny little puff to apply anywhere you please or if you want to be a little more precise you can purchase their Shadow Insurance. This is pretty ingenious! Not only does it act as a eye shadow primer, but also keeps the glitter in one place. Just for fun, I did a henna type design with the primer and then put the glitter over the top of it and it held up fairly well throughout the night. Unlike the old school gel glitters that are sticky on your eyes and have a mind of their own when it comes to application, Too Faced did it right with this one.
This is the weekend for spookiery and devilish ways, so beware of the goblins.
Trick or Treat!
