Jessica here and blogging to you today about At-Home Dermatologist Procedure Kits, since I have yet to have an in-office dermatologist procedure.
I find the at-home procedure kits very interesting and I wondered if they would be as effective as claimed. They really can't be at the same level as in-office doctor procedures since they use a higher level not allowed for over the counter use...I would think. I know I have seen glycolic acid peels available online from 20% up to 70%! It is always risky to do those levels on your own and it is always a must to read directions if you are going to try it. I know I have considered the idea more than once, but keep in mind most products with glycolic acid in it will only go to levels ranging from 10%. My face can handle a lot and I am willing to put it through a lot if it means I get the skin I want, but dealing with such procedures that they offer at doctor's office at home can be dangerous so just be cautious!
That being said, I tested out Olay: Regenerist Microdermabrasion & Peel System since it has the highest ratings for an at-home procedure kit. The process is only a two step system and combines the power of two treatments that actively work together to give you the
benefits of microdermabrasion and a mini-peel treatment. Yet it’s gentle enough
to use up to two times a week for continuous results. First you take the jar of derma-crystals and apply as if you are applying a face mask to a clean, dry face. Then gently massage in for 45 seconds to 1 minute. After that, using your fingertips, apply a thick layer of activator serum directly over the
entire derma-crystal mask. As conditioners are released, you will experience a
warming sensation and see a white foam appear...which is very interesting to see! You keep massaging for about a minute and then rise with warm water. The whole process takes no time at all and it's not painful, at most you feel a warming sensation when applying the activating serum but not bothersome at all. 
After I did the treatment I definitely felt that my skin was SO much smoother and softer! It felt so clean and firming instantly that I was happy to see a change right away. It says you can use it twice a week and I have kept up with it twice a week for a few weeks now and I have noticed my complexion is so much better and evened out, which is why I wanted to try this product to begin with. As far as I am concered it has lived up to it's claims and made me a happy customer. Once again Olay comes through as an amazing brand with amazing products! This is one company that I will stay loyal to :)

My friend was just telling me about microdermabrasion. I would love for my skin to be smooth and soft. I will have to try this, thanks for the great information.

DeleteThanks for reading! I have been looking into microdermabrasions but thought they were too expensive. When I researched it, Olay came up high on the ratings list. I don't think Olay can make a bad product honestly...I would try out this kit before you go for the real deal in an office! It cost MUCH less and you can do it in a few minutes at home :)
