Hi Friends. It’s Tara here, wrapping up the January rejuvenation topics with a review of eye masks and compresses. Clearly I was happy to test out a couple of these products, and I’m glad to say that there are some excellent options out there to choose from!
One such product is IMAK’s ergoBeads eye mask. It works wonders—many more wonders, in fact, than I had even anticipated when purchasing... When purchasing, I was really only concerned with finding something to help de-puff my eyes (after spending entirely too much time at a computer, e-reader, phone...or party) and black out the light (for an efficient power nap).
This soft, black mask is full of teeny beads, and has indentations for my eyes (to prevent any pressure on the eye lids). I definitely recommend storing the mask in the freezer (I keep mine in there, inside of a Ziploc bag). When the mask is placed on my face—strapped on with the attached elastic band, in order to keep it in place—I immediately feel it working magic. Both the bead weight (not too heavy) and the temperature (not too cold) make it conducive to wearing for the duration of a nap. This couldn’t be more different from the usual gel-frozen eye masks, which I generally find to be too cold and uncomfortable... All around, this is the most comfortable and effective eye mask I've used, to date!
Again, I tried this eye mask for the same reason I try all eye masks—to help depuff my tired eyes and provide some relaxation while doing so. This mask goes above and beyond, though. Its truly a worthwhile investment!
While we're on the topic of rejuvenation, I'd also like to give a brief shout out to the BeautyZZZ natural silk pillowcase. Not only is it super soft and comfortable to sleep on (I only have one, on the pillow I use most), I'm beginning to realize a difference in my dry winter skin...and begin to wonder if this pillowcase can be thanked for it! The idea is that cotton absorbs moisture out of the skin, while silk does not.
Whatever products you choose (or with no products at all!), please do remember to take some time to turn off and unwind every once in a while. Until next week...sweet dreams!
