Posh Polishing

Well I’m in disbelief that it’s already Tuesday again!  Time has sure been flying these past couple months!

Getting right into it then…  This week’s topic—nail polish—is a fun one for me, as I’ve been thinking a million times more about manicures since getting engaged!  I was never that much of a manicure girl myself before that.  I like getting them for special occasions, but have always been more of a pedi gal historically.

I have quite a few quirks when it comes to getting my nails done, too.  The biggest one, of course, is that I bring my own polish along for the ride.  I’m a devout fan of a few colors and brands which aren’t usually carried in nail salons, so its BYOP (bring your own polish) for me!

My current favorite brands are Priti NYC and Butter London, both of which have always been free of chemicals like toluene, DBP, and formaldehyde—three ingredients that many other brands have begun to remove from their own products recently.  In addition to their ingredient decks, I really love these polishes because of their great colors and—especially with Butter London—their fun names!  Names like “no more waity Kaity”, “the full monty”, and my favorite Butter London color currently, “tea with the queen” aren't only fun, but make me feel kind of, well...POSH, as the makers might say!  And isn’t that what mani-pedis are all about after all?  Feeling a bit more posh?  Many props to both Priti and Butter London!  I'll certainly be using a lot more of their products this year!

Until next week, this is Tara signing off and wishing you the best!
