Smooth and Sexy

So here it is Friday again, can you believe it?  Well Spring has sprung, although I would say that the poor wildflowers here in California are a little confused.  Usually we have lupines (some of you may call the Texas Blue Bonnets) by Easter, but I haven’t seen one.  Even our California Poppies are a little scarce.  But have no fear; the retailers are in full force with spring fashions including the ever scary bathing suit. (Note to self: Do  not eat a cheeseburger and fries and then go try suits on)

So what to do to prepare?  Well you can go old school and sport the 60’s bikini with the wide bottoms and high waist or the itsy bitsy teeny- kini.  Well if you’ve been with me from the beginning, I’ve shared that I apparently take after my Dad in the hair growth arena.  No... Don’t get gross.  I’m not crazy hairy.  I am just one of those girls that have to shave everyday or I’ll find small children wrapped in my leg hair.  During the warmer months of the year, my family and I go out to the river and ride jet skis.  So basically I’m in a bathing suit for 3 days straight.  For awhile, I’d shave every day and then it just became silly.  So I took the bull by the horns and signed up for laser hair removal for my lady parts.  I can’t tell you how happy I am with my decision.  It’s not an automatic, instant gratification process, but for me it was one of the best beauty decisions I’ve made.  I did about 6 sessions every 4 weeks and now I don’t have to worry about missing certain areas.  I will warn you though, it’s kinda painful.  Your technician can apply a numbing cream, which I highly recommend.  But it’s well worth a little sting.

Since I’m a scaredy cat when it comes to lasers near my face, I have my eyebrows threaded.  This is a technique that is popular in most Arab countries as well as Indian and Persian cultures.  Practitioners use a very thin thread to help shape my eyebrows.  For me, waxing didn’t work because I would breakout and it would irritate my skin.  But with threading, within a half hour, the redness has dissipated and no irritation.

So from Mr. Bigglesworth and I, have a Million dollar kinda weekend.

easy fix for fine hair

Greeting Grayce here!
you may resemble cousin it .... we may cover that in another blog

now Jake  he is so hot that scruffy face look works on men and  .... is so sexy
but if you are like me the average American woman quick fixes wok best Olay Smooth Finish Facial Hair Removal Duo
Works together to gently remove fine to medium facial hair from the upper lip, chin, cheek and jaw areas in two easy steps
This duo works together to gently remove facial hair for skin that's beautifully soft, smooth and visibly hair-free.

1st need to use a thin coat for the Skin Guar5ding Balm (as per label) it is recommended for Fine to Medium Hair (around my chin & face & upper lip)
Do not apply too much of the moisturizer. Follow the directions they clearly say to use a tiny bit and massage it in otherwise the cream won't work!!!!
Then apply the Hair Removal Cream for a few minutes - it was great no rash no harsh chemical scent. Not real irritation. Great!!!

This is designed to use as a kit & they work best together to gently remove hair
I would recommend this product to anyone one  - especially fine hair.
The trick to it is the skin guard balm, which puts a short-term barrier between your skin and the harsh chemicals to be found in any depilatory.
The instructions say to apply the balm beyond the area to be treated, apply the hair removal cream immediately after and to not exceed ten minutes of processing. Less than 10 minutes
Enjoy the journey!

Dare to Be Bare...with Lemons

Jessica
Happy Wednesday Fabulous Readers!

So this week is about body hair & removal creams and I have something that is perfect for the lazy shaver...like me.

Naturally Bare creme hair remover by Sally Hansen is an in-shower formula used to remove body hair! I used it on my legs, especially the hard to shave back on the thigh area.

You basically apply a generous amount of the cream to dry skin, over the hair you wish to be removed. Wash hands immediately after and then you can hop in the shower while the product works it's magic. It says to not have the water directly hit it but you can go about your normal routine. In 3 minutes you can test the area to see if the hair comes off and if not you can leave it on up to 10 minutes. When it is ready to be removed just use the applicator it comes with to "shave" off the cream. You are left with smooth legs that last days longer than shaving :)

Today's blog is short and sweet, Sally Hansen you made my life easier...and who wouldn't love that??

******************************************

Since my blog is so short today, and you know I love to go on and on, I must tell you all about a YUMMY lotion that I have been obsessively using...several times a day.

J.R. Watkins Lemon Cream Hand & Body Lotion is not only a natural moisturizing lotion...it has the most spell bounding, put you in a trance, amazing scent that I am truly addicted to! I can not go one day without applying this lotion, the scent smells like a lemon cake and always puts me in a good mood! I can't help but smell myself throughout the day, it is just so delicious!!!  How do they make it smell THAT good?

The lotion itself is a perfect consistency for me, my skin on my body is normal to dry and this instantly softens my skin without a heavy, dense feeling left on my skin. The lotion sinks in and hydrates so I can put clothes on almost immediately without the lotion sticking to my clothes.

I can not say enough about this lotion...except a warning to you if you decide to try it...you may start to have craving for sweets...a lot! Also, don't try and lick the lotion off of your body, as much as you may want to based on the scent...it is meant to be left on! hah

When the world hands you lemons...put it on your body! Okay that was cheesy I know...but I think this lotion is really getting to me, hmmmm. I better end this before I get too crazy silly...

I hope you will try this amazing lotion because the world would be a much better place if everyone smelled like this! If you do try it please let me know what you think!!!

Until next week fabulous readers...Keep on Being Beautiful You! :)

The Unmentionables

Hi everyone! It’s Tara here, wishing you a happy start to the new week.

I don’t know about you, but I find this year to be a bit slow and sometimes even boring…so I suppose there’s really no better time than the present to mix things up with some “awkward” beauty product reviews!

Between last week’s posts on décolletage creams, and this week’s topic of unwanted hair lightening creams/removal systems, we really are steering into awkward territory here! And it’ll get even better as the month goes on!

Getting right to it—as a brunette, I definitely use bleaching cream for unwanted hair every once in a while. I would get waxing for these areas, but stopped waxing my face a while ago—as it irritated my skin too much. Since then I have used Surgi Invisi-Bleach whenever I find it necessary (maybe once every two months or so).

There are tons of bleaching products out there. I ended up using Surgi because it was carried in my favorite pharmacy—New London Pharmacy. I liked the results and never turned back! In terms of bleaching systems, people seem to look for products that are light, easy to use, and do not irritate skin. So if you haven’t tried a bleaching product yet, and are looking for a recommendation—definitely take a look at Surgi, as it works well and falls within all of those categories.
