Clean and Renewed

Raise your glass and toast with me to new beginnings. Hello, I'm Beckie Boyden, the newest member to the Certified Fabulous Team. For the last 10 years I have been working in the packaging industry and have seen many trends in both personal care products and skin care. There was the buzz (no pun intended) about using coffee in skin care to "wake" up your skin and then there was the anti-oxidants and how they benefit your well being. The beauty industry is a fast pace place to work and always evolving with the newest and greatest.

Because of my skin type, I am fortunate to be able to try any products without too much irritation. One of my favorites from the past was the dual action products. It's a shampoo/conditioner... it's a cleanser/exfoliator. Well those came and went. I do get the reason for combining products in our fast pace society but really the products don't make the impact that most consumers had thought.

Over the years, I have definitely abused my skin and exposed it to all types of elements. I love the beach and being outdoors in the sun and I have some battle scars from that. Don't get me wrong I do wear a hat and my sunscreen, but sometimes that's just not enough.

Now in my mid-30's, I have to look differently at my skin regime and how I treat it. I mean there are mornings I wake up, look in the mirror and think... "Who is that?" Recently I was fortunate enough to try Epicuren's Extra Fine Citrus Facial Scrub. Now I've used many a scrub in my life and I have to say this one is AWEMAZING! It's not too abrasive like a salt scrub but also not to soft like it's not doing it's job. It leaves my skin feeling like it's clean and renewed.
