It is Wednesday again…wow how time flies! It’s your girl Jessica here, fresh from Vegas and still recovering!
Me, Sara and Beckie went out to one of the largest and most exclusive business-to-business cosmetic trade show of the year, Cosmoprof. We saw all the hottest trends and newness from within all segments of the beauty industry, including Cosmetics and Personal Care, Packaging, Contract Manufacturing & Private Label, Spa & Wellness and Professional Hair, Nails & Tools. It is a gigantic show in the Mandalay Bay Convention Center and we were on our feet that day for about 8 hours…just at the show alone! It’s after days like that where I want to indulge my feet in luxurious spa treatments or very long foot massages.
One of my favorite splurges for my feet is a local place called Soakology, which is a Foot Sanctuary and Teahouse. If you are ever in Maine you MUST stop by and check it out. They have comfortable oversized chairs that you sit in and they have huge bowls you put your feet in. You can choose from a variety of soaks, depending on what you need for your feet. Relaxing, rejuvenating, moisturizing, the list goes on and on. After you have you feet in the soak you can order from a variety of exotic and delicious teas and snacks. If all that wasn’t enough, they offer massages too! The foot massages are amazing and I always must indulge in that when I go.
Places like that are amazing experiences and are great things to do to bond with friends or family and they make great gifts…but they can be expensive and something you can’t always do! SO…when I am at home and need to give my feet some serious TLC I create my own spa experience. My favorite thing to soak my feet in after a long day is Epsom salt with steaming hot water. The best brand I have found so far is Dr. Teal's Epsom Salt Soaking Solution which combines Magnesium and Sulfate which are known to revitalize tired, achy muscles and refresh skin’s appearance. Plus, luxurious essential oils soothe the senses and provide relief from stress. I use the Relax blend and it truly is relaxing.

Usually that is the extent of the care to my feet. I am not really in to pedicures (or manicures for that matter). Sara actually made me get my first pedi about 3 months ago and I thought it was okay, I just feel like it’s a waste since I don’t really have nails! I serious don’t even think I have a pinky toe nail…but anyway…every now and then I will throw on nail polish…that I keep on for so long it ends up just fading off…terrible I know.
I don’t like the feel of lotion on my feet so for me my favorite foot treatment is Lotion Socks, any brand will do the trick, but the brand I have tried and love is Earth Therapeutics. They have a variety of choices so in the winter I use the thermal lotion socks and in the summer (like now) I use the thinner lotion socks. I just put them on at night before I go to bed (yes I wear socks to bed) and then I wake up with smooth, sexy feet. It’s easy and works overnight!
So that is my opinion on foot treatments and lotions, I welcome any of you to comment on your favorites that you think I should try out! Until next time, have a good week and enjoy your weekend!
Keep on being beautiful you!
