Happy Tuesday, everyone. It's Tara here, writing about foot creams. I've actually been anxiously waiting to write this post, as foot creams have always confused me. I’ve bought a few in the past, and personally can’t tell the difference in consistency and feel from a regular old body cream…maybe foot creams are a bit thicker, but that’s about it. Foot treatments, like the Heel-Tastic covered by Grayce yesterday, are a whole ‘nother ball game of course. I’m talking foot creams here…and I just don’t get the point of buying an additional product for your feet. Is there one that you've tried and loved? I'd love to hear.
The reason why I even continued to try foot-specific creams in the past (and why I sampled quite a few more before writing this post) is because of my NEED for one. In summer, when I’m wearing sandals, running, and hiking, my feet get destroyed. Then the colder months come along, and my feet just get dry, cracked, and straight up wrong. After trying more than a few foot-specific creams, I ended up with my one true love…my favorite all-around remedy…Weleda’s Skin Food.
Growing up, I was a petroleum product junkie. You know the products; I don’t need to name them here. We all know they work wonders to heal dry and cracked skin on the feet and elsewhere. Recently, though, I’ve become hesitant to use petroleum-based products (for more than a few reasons) so I began to hunt for substitutes. Skin Food does the job just as well as a petroleum-based product…if not better. It works as a cuticle cream, hand cream, rough skin patch cream, and, of course, a foot cream!! My recommended recipe for a quick heal for your heels: scrub your feet with a grainy body scrub, follow up with a foot file, end with Weleda Skin Food, cover with socks, and hit the hay! In the morning your feet will be moisturized and repaired.
If you’re looking for an awesome all-around product that works well on your feet, try Skin Food!
