Sensitive Skin Sunday

This week's topic of daily facial cleansers comes to a close as our sensitive skin blogger Blake has something to add to the topic...

Hi Folks,

I haven't officially introduced myself to you all. I’m Becky Blake - you’ve already met Beckie Boyden from our west coast office. Two Becky’s writing blogs for Certified F.A.B.U.L.O.U.S could create a bit of confusion. To make the same name thing easier on everyone just call me Blake.

The topic for today is facial cleansers.
My skin is combination of oily and dry. Along with combination factor I’m also challenged with extremely sensitive skin. Over the years I’ve experimented with many brands of facial cleanser. I’ve tried many products designed for sensitive skin and it’s very disappointing to say that all of these experiments have ended the same way, my face feeling itchy with glowing red spots (not a good look at all!) When I say that my skin is extremely sensitive I’m not exaggerating I’m being literal!

Sara had suggested that I try Cetaphil Gentle Facial Cleanser. OMG – what a discovery!!! After my first use of this incredible product I was willing to declare that Cetaphil produces the best facial cleanser ever made. I vow never use any other product on my face again. I lather up my hands with the Cetaphil Gentle Facial Cleanser and gently rub on my face, (in a circular motion) then I rinse. It’s just that simple. Don’t repeat as it’s not necessary. My skin is left clean and refreshed with absolutely no irritation. I use this cleanser once a day and won’t travel without it.

The other suggestion that I follow is to be aware of the water temperature when rinsing. Never use hot water to rinse your face. The water temperature should be lukewarm.

I would urge anyone who has extremely sensitive skin to give this fantastic product a try. Who knows……you may be just as please as I am. I don’t miss the red spots at all!

Till we meet again - Blake
