I do not know anyone that does not like cleansing masks. No matter what your skin type is there are product that are out there for you. They are so fun and most of them are quite colorful. There are a number of brands out there which have developed an entire business just around different types of masks.
The list is endless of the masks that are on the market and available. A lot of time it is difficult to tell what is right for you, just because a lot of them have very similar names.

Hi Sara,
ReplyDeleteI have very dry skin, but I'm scared of using masks as they usually dry my face out more. My pours are also majorly clogged. What ingredients should I be looking for in a mask, or do you have any specific product suggestions?
Thanks!
Dear Jen Kahn,
ReplyDeleteAs the the Director of Sales and Education for Astara Skin Care, I think I can help with some suggestions for you. And Sara, please jump in with your own answers and viewpoint of course!
#1. First you want to deep cleanse your pores and exfoliate (a good facialist can do the extractions that may be necessary to jump start this process).
#2. Use Astara's Nourishing Vitamin Mask to rehydrate and replenish the oil and water balance necessary for optimal skin function. Literally feeding the skin the nutrients it needs, this creme mask can even double as a night time treatment that you sleep in! Sara can fill in the rest, I'm sure. Check us out at www.astaraskincare.com. And thank you, Sara, for the mention in your blog!!!
