Jessica here and this week we are talking toners.
You know I keep saying I have a strict face
cleansing ritual I follow every night, because I wear makeup and I need my face
to be clean and my pores to breathe at night. After I use my makeup remover and
cleanser I then rotate between using a toner and applying a serum. The reason I
do this is because a toner can be used as a treatment in itself so I can leave
that on to work its magic or I can apply a clarifying serum…depends on how my
skin is that day.
A new and amazing skin care line has a wonderful
toner, with my favorite ingredient…glycolic! M.A.D Skincare’s Anti-AgingGlycolic Toner has been keeping my skin clean, brightened and clear since I
started using it! It contains 7% glycolic acid and multi fruit acids to “deliver
superior exfoliation”. All you do is a take a cotton pad and apply the toner to
your face and neck, let it air dry and you done! You can feel the tingling of
the glycolic and multi fruit acids going to work to get rid of the dead, dull
skin cells to reveal glowing skin. What’s also great about this skin care line
is the variety of different products that are paired together based on your
skin needs. The line is color coded for you to decide what is best for you. Red is Environmental, Yellow is Brightening, Purple is Anti Aging, Blue is Acne,
and Green is Sensitive. You can review products by these categories or mix and
match which items you want from all of the categories, which I think is very
cool.
Typically I use toners at night and for the day I
stick to something basic. After I splash cold water on my face to wake up, I
dry off and apply T.N. Dickson’s Witch Hazel. A 100% natural astringent that gently
relives oily, irritated, red, damaged, blemished or inflamed skin and is
perfect for a quick morning cleanse before makeup. I was at a networking event
and while talking to a woman I noticed how great her skin was. I asked her what
her secret was for her amazing skin and she simply said, “Witch Hazel”.
Obviously after I left the event I ran to the store and bought a bottle and
I think everyone should have some in their home.
