Good Morning, Beautiful…

So it’s been said that our eyes are the gateway to our soul.  Well what are you eyes telling you?  Mine?  Well it depends on the morning.  Some mornings they are happy and ready to take on the world.  Others, they look in the mirror and question who they are actually looking at.   This year I’ve been doing a lot of traveling and usually not in my time zone.  My last trip I thought I was in Dante’s Inferno.  My flight was a red eye out of Orange County with two layovers to Ohio.  At my final destination I was supposed to look bright eyed and bushy tailed for a sales meeting; the optimal test for an outside sales rep.  So what is my secret-besides Starbucks Green Tea Lemonades?

Well for early morning puffy eyes, my little dirty secret comes in a small little bottle (no, not that bottle).. . It’s Cellex-C Toning Gel.  This product works like no other serum or gel I have ever used before for under-eye puffiness.  It easily glides on, let it dry and apply your concealer on top.  Easy Breezy, Beautiful!

My other secret is Smash box’s Photo Op.

This little tube of wonderfulness illuminates the under eye area and helps alleviate the appearance of dark circles; perfect for the night owl living in a conventional working world. Usually this is all I need, but there are some mornings where I’ll also apply a concealer on top of that.

Now the newest edition to my collection of favorites comes from Ole Henriksen. Ole has created this fabulous line of products that have African Red Tea in them.  One of which is the Visual Truth Eye Cream.  This eye cream is absolutely, hands down fantastic.  African Red Tea has a high level of anti-oxidants and helps in soothing the skin and reduces the signs of aging and actually strengthens the skin under the eye.  I have seen a major change in the skin around my eyes since I’ve started using this cream.  By using this cream morning and night, the skin under my eyes doesn’t look at tired or worn out but youthful instead.

Fun Fact for the crazy holiday shoppers:

Eyelids get tired, and so do the muscles around them, but the eyes themselves are fully functioning all the time and never need rest. But the bad news is, you still get bags under the eyes if you don’t rest them.

Cheers!
