Laura here!
At the risk of sounding obnoxious, I have really soft, smooth, and supple skin, a fact I am extremely proud of given my ripe old age of 55! When people touch me they most always comment on it.

Knowing I work in the cosmetic industry they are quick to ask, “What are you using?”, “is it really expensive”? Now I am not one to shy away from a luxurious, super-hyped, celebrity endorsed cream. The truth is, my soft, smooth, and supple skin is due in part to my glorious Italian heritage and a $10 bottle of Nivea Body Skin Firming Moisturizer Q10 Plus.
Yes, the drugstore, “masstigue” brand Nivea has created the single best body lotion I have ever tried, and I’ve tried them all! At every price point, from unscented to perfumed. I have slathered the very best on my body and nothing beats Nivea Body Skin Firming Moisturizer Q10 Plus.
Why so good?
It’s in the name Q10, aka co-enzyme Q10. This is a miracle ingredient I heard of 13 years ago.  To keep it simple, Q10 is an oil-soluable, vitamin-like substance that jump starts cellular activity.
This sounded really intriguing to me so I consulted my favorite physician, Dr. Andrew Weil. If you don’t know him, you should! He is the Harvard educated founder of the Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine. He combines the best of eastern and western healing disciplines and has an incredible web site full of information including alternative, holistic therapies.
Dr. Weil elaborated on the power of Q10 as a support to connective tissue and particularly important for the health of your gums (ok, that’s for another blog entry!)
I was convinced! I went to my local health food store and purchased a bottle of Co-Enzyme Q10, 30 milligrams.
The truth is, I am inconsistent with taking the supplement daily and I never go a day without applying my Nivea Body SkinFirming Moisturizer Q10 Plus. It’s the best bang for your buck down the drugstore aisle.
