During my consults in the office I am often asked what
Botox is and will it work for me? Hopefully I can shed some light on a very
effective beautifying procedure. Botulinum Toxin, as it is officially named,
helps reduce the lines of expression which can make one looked aged. The
highly purified tiny molecule, called a neuromodulator, is injected into a
muscle such as the frown muscles that cause the lines in between your
brows. While the molecule is only
present for 48 hours or so, it blocks the nerve impulses to the injected
muscles reducing muscle activity for 2 to 4 months. Once injected it takes approximately 2 to 5 days to take affect and is most noticeable around 10 days after injection. The results are a smoother more youthful appearance to the area. The procedure takes just a few minutes to perform and usually no numbing is required. Interestingly, neuromodulator use extends beyond the cosmetic world and plays a role in disease processes such as migraine relief and more complicated neurologic problems such a cerebral palsy. Here it can relax the spastic muscles of cerbral palsy that help a patient with dexterity or swallowing. The risks of injection into these muscles are more significant but the benefits for such patients can be remarkable. In the world of cosmetic Botox, where millions of injections have been performed, there have been no medical side effects reported.
One can make an argument that brushing your teeth, which releases bacteria from your mouth into your blood stream, may be more dangerous. So if it appeals to you but you shy away because of safety you can feel comfortable that you are at very low risk of any medical complication. For more information you can go to www.botoxcosmetic.com

ReplyDeleteThe cosmetic effect of BTX-A on wrinkles was originally documented by a plastic surgeon from Sacramento, California, Dr. Richard Clark, and published in the journal Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in 1989. Canadian husband and wife ophthalmologist and dermatologist physicians, JD and JA Carruthers, were the first to publish a study on BTX-A for the treatment of glabellar frown lines in 1992. Similar effects had reportedly been observed by a number of independent groups (Brin, and the Columbia University group). After formal trials, on April 12, 2002, the FDA announced regulatory approval of botulinum toxin type A (Botox Cosmetic) to temporarily improve the appearance of moderate-to-severe frown lines between the eyebrows (glabellar lines). Subsequently, cosmetic use of botulinum toxin type A has become widespread, with many celebrities viewing it as less intrusive and/or artificial than other types of plastic surgery. The results of cosmetic procedures vary, but can last up to eight months. The US Food and Drug Administration approved an alternative product-safety testing method in response to increasing public concern that LD50 testing was required for each batch sold in the market.
There's a reason why so many people, both men and women, have turned to Botox® for a fresh and rejuvenated look. When administered by a doctor, Botox® is fast and provides noticeable results. It can be done during an office visit and requires no recovery time. You'll notice the difference right away. It is important that you consult with a doctor first to discuss whether prescription Botox® is a good option for you. Dr. Ford provides patients with a thorough consultation to discuss the risks and benefits of Botox® injections.

Botox is so simple and quick that you can even get it done during a day off and return to work the next day with minor redness on your face. The administration of Botox just needs around ten minutes, unlike other cosmetic surgeries which take couple of hours to perform. Since there is no discomfort associated with Botox, you do not need to take pain pills or anaesthesia. Botox is very much affordable since it does not deal with any surgery and incisions. Thus, you do not have shell out a substantial amount of savings just for the procedure. Depending on the number of sessions needed the treatment price is decided by the doctor, which is mostly less than a face-lift or other surgeries.

I’ve been surfing online more than three hours today, yet I never found any interesting article like yours. It’s pretty worth enough for me. In my opinion, if all webmasters and bloggers made good content as you did, the web will be a lot more useful than ever before. botox reviews
