Does the amount of foundations and types of foundations available overwhelm you? It overwhelms me. I do not usually wear foundation. I never know what to buy and I’m afraid that if I do buy something, it will be the wrong shade. Do I buy liquid, mousse, powder, smart shade? What type will work for my skin? These are just a few of the questions that go spiraling through my mind in the makeup section. So that’s why I looked to blogger Jessica for help in choosing a mineral foundation. Jessica recommended Purminerals 4-in-1 Pressed Mineral Makeup SPF 15.
The 4-in-1 takes foundation, powder, concealer and SPF 15 and puts it all into a compact product. This foundation covers blemishes well and creates a more even-toned finish. It feels lightweight while still providing the amount of coverage you choose. The makeup stayed on all day, stayed smooth, and kept its coverage well. At first I was a little unsure about using a power. I didn’t know how natural or unnatural it would look on my skin. But some of the ingredients include Shea butter and Vitamin E. This works great for me, as my skin is a little on the drier side; the powder blends in well and does not look like it’s simply sitting on top of my skin.
Not only did the type of makeup work well for me, but the brush made a big difference. This makeup is applied with a Purminerals Chisel Brush. I like using a brush as opposed to a wedge sponge, or liquid. With the brush, it does not take long to apply and the makeup goes on evenly. I’m not used to wearing foundation or powder, so I followed the brush directions: dip the brush in the product, draw circles in the lid and then apply with downward strokes. I think this technique helped me achieve a more even toned finish. By circling the brush in the cap the makeup had a chance to spread evenly on the brush and create a thin layer rather than going straight from the makeup to my skin and spreading a thick layer around. So if you’re looking at mineral makeup and desire an easily achieved natural look, Pur Minerals 4-in-1 is a great place to start!
