Vitamins can be found everywhere these days, your food, supplements, skin care, and hair care.
As for skin care. Serums are a great delivery system for vitamins. They are leave on products so you get the benefit of the vitamins staying on your skin.
One of the serums I really like is John Masters Vitamin C Anti-Aging Serum. I find this product to be very hydrating. It is almost more of a light lotion than a serum. I can use it in the summer if I need just a bit of hydration and I can layer it under my moisturizer in the winter as my serum to help with that extra bit of dryness that I have when the weather turns harsh and heaters kill your skin.
One of the other serums I really like is emerginC Vitamin C serum. It is really cool. The serum has Vitamin C in it as well as the beads, so the beads break as you are dispensing them and i think of this quick burst of fresh Vit C going on to my skin. You see the brightening after the first use.
Vitamin C has a lot of great benefits for the skin, it is brightening, has quite a bit of anti-oxidant power, can and will address hyper-pigmentation (sun damage), and stimulate collagen production.
If you are looking for Vitamin C in a product. Vitamin C has different forms which are proven stable and effective, you will see them listed as any of the below ingredient names:
- ascorbic acid
- L-ascorbic acid
- ascorbyl palmitate
- sodium ascorbyl phosphate
- retinyl ascorbate
- tetrahexyldecyl ascorbate
- magnesium ascorbyl phosphate
I personally think that when you take Vitamin C and pair it with algae is when you see the most benefits, quite quickly. You will see an instant brightening and rehydrance to the skin... That combo can really revive almost any skin that has taken on a dull appearance.
Have a great week!
