Happy Wednesday Fabulous Readers!
Jessica here for your Wednesday review, and this month is all about lips :) This week, we start by getting into lip scrubs and treatments.
I have never used a lip scrub, never thought about them really. For some reason they seem to be growing in popularity and more and more brands are starting to create their own. SO I had to see what all the hype was about. I use a body and face exfoliator...why would I need a separate one for my lips? Well let me tell you, it is much needed! My face and body exfoliators are aggressive and I love them to be aggressive but for lips you just need a less abrasive scrub and one that will moisturize at the same time. Unlike my face exfoliator where I want it to be harsh, then I moisturize after appropriately for my skin needs.
On that note, I tried the most delightful lip scrub, by Treat Beauty called Kiss and Make it Butter! LOVE the name, that is what first caught my attention and determined my decision to pick that out of the many choices. It not only smelled amazing (like candy!), but it glided on my lips and the sugar scrub easily brushed away the rough, dead skin patches! The Shea butter in it moisturized my lips and after I washed away the sugar the Shea butter lingered and my lips were incredibly soft!
A lip scrub is VERY crucial to me now since I have been getting into (and loving) lip tints...but I will save that for a future blog. Even though the lip scrub left an amazing smooth, protective feeling I still always apply my night treatment lip balm...my tride and true Carmex! But you guys know all about Certified Fabulous' love for Carmex :)
This might be a good product to use before you kiss your main squeeze...especially since Valentine's Day is coming up. It would be a sweet candy kiss for your sweetie :) That is my Valentine's Day advice for you since I won't get to talk to you again until after V-Day! So hope it's a lovey dovey happy one. Even if you are single (like me) live it up ;)
Take care and rememeber to Keep on Being Beautiful YOU!
