Lips Need Prep Too!

Hi everyone, and Happy Tuesday! It’s Tara here to discuss lip treatments. I must be honest-this topic is one of the easier ones for me to write about, as I’ve had an all time favorite lip scrub for the past couple years now!

I’m absolutely devoted to Sara Happ’s brown sugar lip scrub. It’s a tried and true favorite—especially during these winter months; it tastes (because this is important for lip scrubs) wonderful; and it always has immediate, noticeable results. When my lips are getting a little scaly, skinny, or tired looking, I apply a gob of this product; rub it around in circular motions for half a minute or so; and then remove it with a tissue. It’s a transformative half minute, as my lips are always left fuller, smoother, and more moisturized immediately afterwards! I'll usually do this treatment before bed, and follow it up with a super rich balm, like my old favorite, multi-purpose Egyptian Magic.

Just like our face (and the rest of our body), our lips need exfoliation every once in a while—in order to get rid of the dead skin, and to allow the “good stuff” in our balm to work its moisturizing magic. I highly recommend Sara Happ’s scrub, but would also love to hear about your lip exfoliating treatments! It’s a great topic to start off lip month, in fact, as these products allow us to create a fresh, clean, and KISS-ABLE surface on which to try some fun and funky lip products this Valentines month...but I'll leave that discussion for next week! Until then, enjoy!
