Blake here to talk about: Nail Designs
I just love to decorate my nails. I’ve got a few techniques that I like. Time is the key factor in choosing a
technique.
Magnetic Polish:
The color in the picture is: Kensington palace – 042 by
nails inc. LONDON. Magnetic Polish. I put on my traditional base coat and then follow the
instructions on the bottle. Watching the design develop in the polish is truly amazing. I purchased an additional magnetic disk so I have more decorative
patterns to pay with. This is just a total blast of fun!! Now I’ve just “gotta” get more colors....
Decals:
I use decals for fast decorations. They’re easy to apply.
Just peel and stick. They come in a multitude of designs, colors, and styles. I use a clear top coat which helps the decals last a bit
longer. These are stereoscopic 3D decals by YiMei.
Nail Stamping:
I find this is easy,
fun, and not too messy. They only thing that takes patience is lining up the stamp before applying it
to the nail.
Perfection comes with practice….
I use the Konad Nail Art Stamper and Scraper which Amazon sells at a
reasonable price. I have both white and black Konad art stamping polish. Art image plates are available in a gazillion patterns. After I’ve done the stamping I follow with a clear top coat. The stamp needs to dry before applying the top coat or it
will smear.
Water Nail Art:
Now this is time consuming and messy BUT it’s fun. I’d say this process brings out my artistic side. In a “nut shell” you drop nail polish into water. You draw a pattern in the polish. You dip your nail in the water. This sound simple but there are certain steps
that need to be followed. CertifiedFabulous will be airing a tutorial video on YouTube – check it out!
Remember take time to enjoy life!
