This Little Piggy Went to Market...

Hey All and welcome to Fantastic Friday!  Beckie’s my name and nail polish is my game.

Let me invite you to story time… are you ready?  Shhhhh… quiet boys and girls.  Ok here we go.  Once upon a time, there was a little girl who’s Mom never let her paint her nails until one day she met a little girl named Jana (nope that’s her real name).  Jana painted her nails all the time and the little girl thought they looked so pretty, so she wanted to do it too.  So her Mom agreed to let her.  After painting her nails, the little girl realized that it was a lot of effort to keep up the look with all the sports she played.  Now she realized that her friend didn’t play sports and her Mom did know what she was talking about.
Well friends, that little girl was me… I know you probably saw that one coming.  But really, I rarely painted my nails and now having 2 little children under the age of 7, I don’t have a whole lot of time to paint much less sitting and letting them dry, right?  Ok I know what you’re thinking… go have them done.  Uhhh… right! I don’t feel like getting hassled if I want to upgrade my mani/pedi.  So I’ve pretty much thrown in the towel on painting my nails, but my toes… that’s a whole different story.  Now you’re thinking… ah Beck… what’s the difference between painting your nails and toes… well my toes don’t have to do a whole lot... they just have to hang out.  I can walk around.  I can drive, even go to the store.

As far as what I put on my little piggys.  Well, I have a really hard time spending over $7 on polish.  I have used everything from O.P.I.(avg. $4.99) to Wet & Wild (avg. $1.99).  Recently though, I got stuck and needed to paint my toes.  I was on my way to visit my BF’s family with funky half chipped toes… WHAT?!?!  Yeah, so I broke down and bought Chanel’s polish, because well it was all that was in the airport at the Duty-Free shop. At the tune of $22 and let me tell you, it was well worth it.  I couldn’t believe it!  I thought, OMG what am I doing?  $22 for polish?!?! I can tell you, I put that stuff to the test.  Between hot tubs and snow skiing, even a little dancing.  Still no chipping!

Now I’m not saying that the more expensive the polish the better it is, because I’ve had really good luck with China Glaze too.  They have tons of colors to choose from and even a few fun top coats.
So until next week friends… have a fabulous weekend!
