Snow White Skin to a Pocahontas Tan? YES!

Happy Wednesday Readers,
Jessica here to talk about my thoughts on sunless face tanners.
I am Franco (French Canadian) American, born and raised in Maine…the reason why I am telling you this is so you can fully understand how pale while my skin is. I am basically Snow White...*sigh* yes like the Disney character. So how do I get my skin from Snow White to Pocahontas?
Thankfully we have now finished the prep work and are ready for color! This was an exciting topic here in the office since we always try and achieve a NATURAL looking tan without the harmful effects from the sun or tanning beds. It was SO interesting to notice, as we are doing our testing and research of sunless tanners, my fellow bloggers here in the office are feeling confident enough to start showing more skin and wearing cute summer dresses. What is it about a tan that gives us more self esteem and confidence to wear what you want and feel good about it? For me it is the fact that tanned skin can hide more flaws!
I normally do use sunless tanner so the concept was nothing new to me. The new products they are coming out with for applying them, however, were very surprising. A towelette…in a packet…with self-tanner on it…hmmmm. I am only used to getting towelettes after a plate of hot wings!
Usually I do not put self-tanner on my face, in fact, as I was at home staring in the mirror, about the apply a huge glob of dark brown lotion to my face I immediately stopped myself and washed my hands. My skin has issues on its own…I just can’t imaging putting something I use to color my body…on my face!
As I was experimenting with my body tanning products (next week’s blog) I did rub the Self-tanning towelette over my face, and I think I felt comfortable doing this only because I use make-up removing cloths that look similar. It might be weird to say, but I would rather just have my self-tanner be for my body and not my face.
In the end I will stick with fake tanning my body with the sprays, lotions, gels, etc and leaving the fake FACE tan to make-up. Bronzer (which we will go into detail about in August) is the best face tanner I will ever use. Currently, my #1, MUST have bronzer is TRUblend Minerals Bronzer. I even use this on my body to get that gorgeous, fail-proof, shimmery tanned look.
I am still open to the idea of a face tanner, so if any of you readers have any ideas, suggestions, feedback PLEASE LET ME KNOW! I know Grayce and Tara loved their face fake tanners, so I might ask (nicely) to borrow those products! For now, I am on to the next adventure! Live in the moment of summer and I will talk to you next week.
