Hi everyone. Tara here. Do you know how much I look forward to Tuesdays with you? It's so fun to be able to discuss favorite beauty products and routines. Plus, between the Cert Fab Team we've tested literally thousands of products over the years...why keep our favorites to ourselves when we can help you out?!?
Face cleanser—this week’s topic, and the first topic of the great September Cleanse—is a pretty interesting subject (well, for
me it is...). Compared to all of the products I leave on my skin (lotions, serums, etc.), I don’t stress as much about the ingredients in cleansers (you wash them right off, after all)! That being said, my skin can be pretty dry, so I must steer clear of ingredients that will strip away the good oils. Interestingly enough, my skin will break out just as badly from being too dry as it will from being too oily. It's all about balance! If you have skin like this, I recommend mixing up your routine; adding a gentle oil or milk cleanser once a day; and/or washing your face only every other day. No two skin types are exactly the same, so you’ll have to figure out your own best routine. If you’re interested in a nice gentle cleanser to add into the mix, though, let me recommend my favorite—Weleda’s Gentle Cleansing Milk! While I may discuss Weleda products often, I can guarantee that none of these products have been sent gratis—after testing tons of competitors, many of the German brand’s products simply work the best with my skin; perhaps they will with yours, as well? As opposed to many other “gentle” faces washes out there, I really feel as if my skin as been cleansed and freshened with this one. Plus, the scent and signature blue bottle design can be irresistible.
If a gentle skin cleanser is what you’re looking for, try this one on for size! And of course please let us know what you think. Also, as a reminder, if you ever have any questions for the Cert Fab ladies, please feel free to ask. We have tons of industry intel at our fingertips, and will do our best to be your ultimate beauty resource!
