Good Monday morning Ladies and Gentlemen… Today we get personal!!!
How do you remove your hair??? Do you tweeze, wax, shave, electrolysis, cream, laser, thread? There are a million ways it seems to remove body or facial hair. There is some hair that is easier to remove than other…
I have tried almost everything. I still have threading and laser left on my list of must tries! Laugh as you must! Some people think that I am nuts, I shave, go get waxed, wax myself…. Etc….
Where are you trying to remove your hair from?
This is my opinion based on my obsession with hair removal:
Your Face:
Eye Brows – tweeze- Get a great tweezers, make sure that you are looking in a mirror with light that is on the ceiling or that comes from behind you. You do not want shadows that are going to skew the tweezing decisions you make. Try to keep it natural, pay attention to the curve of your eye socket… too much removal on either end and they are going to look strange… I recommend going to someone to get you started and then try to keep up your own maintenance if you can’t go on a regular basis… this applies to any other random hair that sporadically pops up anywhere on your face
Lip hair- on Women… we all have it, (do not pretend), just make it go away, no bleach is not good enough… get rid of that hair… Sally Hansen Hair removal strips… Get scissors and trim them to the size you need, separate apply and goodbye hair, YAY!
Arms- Waxing is my preference. It lasts longer, and arm hair is not something that is too awkward to grow out. Make sure the hair has some length to it, so that the wax will catch it properly. If it is too short, it will hurt more and the hair will just break vs. being properly removed… Not everyone needs to remove their arm hair… I think it all depends how much you it bothers you.
Legs -I think most people shave… I think it is your preference… I have friends that thread, some that wax, I even had one friend who did electrolysis (Man, talk about patience).
Try them all, figure out what works for you and go with it!
I have avoided talking about the Bikini area… there are so many options and that is as personal as it gets! Go with what you are comfortable with… Just let me say that waxing that area is scarier in thought than reality.. yes it hurts the first time, but if definitely get less painful each time you do it.
Happy Monday.
