Certified Fabulous: Sexy Tan from a Can...is it Possible?

Jessica here this week to bring you my review on the best airbrush tan in a can. This is a newer way to tan now, since spray tan salons and booths became so popular we now have an easy way to duplicate that at home! Don't forget it is always best to exfoliate before you do any fake tan so that you have no dry patches that flake off or absorb color more, leaving you looking blotchy...ewww. So after you use a good scrub to prep we are ready for the tanning process to begin.

So, my first airbrush tan in a can experience was actually a good one. Sexy Hair came out with an aerotan called Sex Symbol. This is a very easy process, it is a bit messy on the hands but it washed out SO much better than any other fake tan lotion I have used before. You basically shake the can, spray on the area(s) you want to tan and then blend in with your hands. It came out looking like a gorgeous tan, completely even and washed off of my hands so easily...no dark palms after! You have to wait until it completely dries before putting on any clothes over the tan, but it looked great and lasted until I showered it off. I loved the look and use of this product, but as a warning this one is not water-proof and did rub off kind of easily. So it's mostly a product to use if you don't want to look white in your bathing suit at the beach (don't forget your sunscreen though!) or if you wanted to just spray your legs and wear a skit. Make sure the clothing you wear is dark or it will stain your lighter clothes. This is an awesome way to quickly tan and look pretty without too much movement or water or sweating. I use this when I have photo shoots mostly.

If you need something that will last longer and not be easily rubbed off then my fave product would be Sally Hansen's Airbrush Legs. This is a water resistant spray-on "leg makeup"...that I used on my whole body and it worked just as well. I am super white and bought the medium glow color that gave me a super fast, dark tan! I don't like using tanners that only make me a fraction of a shade darker or only work gradually. Usually when I want a tan it is for a special occasion, or a weekend at most so I need a product that works fast and shows up fast! Typical American I guess :) This stays on much better when doing more active movements, but I must tell you it didn not pass the 100 degree humid city weather! It actually melted off in those crazy temperatures, but other than that it is my #1 product to give me instant confidence. I always feel better in a tan and it does help to hide flaws :) The application works the same as the Sex Symbol, you spray the area you want to tan, then blend in with hands, easily washes off of hands with soap and water...instant tan!

Ideally, when I have the time to go I most prefer to get airbrush tanned by my tanning specialist. This will NOT ever come off on clothes, no matter the humid weather. Plus I get a personalized spray tan by a person that is able to reach all the spots I can't! I always look perfect after I get my tan from an actual person and it can last for almost 2 weeks if you care for it well after...moisturize is the key!
