Seaweed Skin Saver

Hi Friends. It’s Tara here, talking bath products this week. I’d like to begin by saying that I’m not generally a huge bath person. Of course I’d like to be one, but baths (or maybe you call them “tubs”) are more of a luxury for me; sadly I take them on a much rarer occasion than I’d like to. I think this is all going to change, of course, now that I’ve found an absolutely awesome bath product, which truly remedies my dry and even flaky winter skin.

Seaweed Bath Co. products are marketed to people with severe sensitive skin issues like eczema and psoriasis. I don’t suffer from either, but thought the products must also work well for my winter skin. Was I right as ever…!

I used the Whole Seaweed Bath product, and LOVED IT! It’s supposed to be a detoxifying product to benefit both inside and out. This made me want to use the bath product next time I do a BluePrintCleanse (fingers crossed that I'll have the time for this soon)!

But I digress. It’s a very unique product. You open the package to some netting full of actual seaweed, which you place underneath the hot running bath water and then squeeze to release the healing minerals. I dry brushed my skin beforehand (this removes some flaky dry skin and brings the bad stuff like toxins to the surface), sipped on a cup of Yogi detox tea, and let myself relax in the seaweed bath for about 30 minutes. When I got out my skin looked and felt excellent! The seaweed is said to alkalize your skin—taking out the redness and flakiness. It definitely worked for me, and I’m most certainly planning to use it pre-trip if I end up vacationing anywhere warm this winter (even more fingers crossed!), and in the much more frequent baths of my future...

This product definitely provided the closest experience I’ve ever had to an actual spa treatment, at home and on the cheap. As we begin to see more and more detox products on store shelves, I wouldn't be surprised to find more seaweed baths around too. Bravo, Seaweed Bath Co! And see you next week, beautiful readers!
