Bright Lights, Violent Lips

Hi Everyone, and Happy Tuesday! As you already know, we’re wrapping up lip month with the most fun topic of them all…unusual lips! No, this doesn’t mean a color that’s a little out of your comfort zone…it means an entire look that is!!!

This week, all of the Cert Fabbies tried Violent Lips Tattoos. Sara mentioned these yesterday, and I’m sure the other FABULOUS ladies will share their stories too. I tried the Red Glitterati tattoo, and only have good things to say! It was really fun, and not nearly as difficult to apply as I imagined. I’m hoping to try a more subdued red in the future, as the Tattoos look great, and the color really lasts! An especially good part—you can apply lip balm or gloss on top of the Tattoos!

Speaking of gloss, another lip product worth mentioning today has an unusual application—it’s a gloss that pushes the limits! I stumbled upon this product at a friend’s birthday party at New York’s LAVO. The club was handing out free glosses during their crazy fun brunch.

These lip products have an LED light inside, a mirror on the outside, and a tingly, shimmery nude gloss. The gloss can be applied in the middle of a dark club—and has a color that works for everyone. I suppose they’re just doing their best to keep people looking good at all times. Who can blame them? I’m not sure if I’d ever whip out this gloss at a standard dive bar or cocktail lounge, but I love the concept and will certainly bring it to a big night full of bright lips.

We hope you can enjoy unusual lip week by testing your own lip limits a bit!
